Yvonne has been fortunate to train and learn consistently over the years with some of the most renowned names in dressage: Harry Boldt, Carl Hester, Jan Bemelmans, Ton de Ridder, Jose Antonio Garcia, Diederik Wigmans and her current coach, mentor and best friend, Kathy Priest. Together, they add decades of experience as competitors, trainers and coaches at the highest levels, including Olympics, World Equestrian Games, World Cup Finals, and European Championships. They all share Yvonne’s criteria for the proper development of the equine athlete based on empathy, along with a solid, progressive training and maintenance program that leads to optimal performance in the competition ring.
Dr. Jack Snyder
Dr. Jack Snyder, DVM, has been in charge of the well-being of all of the horses in Yvonne’s program for well over a decade. A world authority on equine athletes and their care, Dr. Snyder has been a part of the FEI Veterinarian Committee and also of the official veterinarian teams at numerous Olympics, World Equestrian Games, Pan American and other regional championships. He consults internationally for top jumping and dressage riders, treats and maintains all of Yvonne and her clients’ horses and also conducts all vettings for new prospects.
Lorenzo del Pozo
Lorenzo is a key member of Yvonne’s team, responsible for the physiotherapy program for all the horses in her barn. He holds a degree in Animal Health from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, is a graduate of Sport Science from Camilo Jose Cela University in Madrid, and has numerous other degrees in human and equine osteopathy, kinesiology and physiotherapy. He is an official FEI equine therapist, and also a fully licensed human physiotherapist. He is currently part of the physio staff of the Spanish national soccer team.

Kate holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Johnson & Wales University in Equine Business Management and is a Grand Prix rider and USDF Gold Medalist. She has coached and trained riders and horses both in the USA and internationally for many years, and groomed at the sports’ main events for top riders, including Yvonne. She brings a wealth of experience in equine and barn management, international horse travel logistics, and also rides and trains horses as part of the team.
Manager / Rider-Spain
Born in Ibiza, Spain, Jenny is an equine professional since 2019 but has always been involved with horses due to her Dutch ancestry. Her previous fifteen-year work experience as a manager for the Melia’ and NH hotel chains provide her with excellent business and communication skills. As a rider, she has competed up to Grand Prix, winning numerous gold medals in regional championships in Spain and becoming the first rider to compete at Grand Prix level in the Spanish region of Galicia. She manages all aspects of the operations in Spain and Europe, also assisting with the riding and training of horses.
Ivan Zapata Diaz
Ivan is a professional horseman since 2010, acquiring his Equestrian Sport Instructor degree from the Spanish federation in 2011. He continued his education in Portugal under Manuel Carneiro, one of Nuno Oliveira’s last students, followed by positions in several leading Spanish PRE breeders. During this time, he had the opportunity to work with Alberto García-Briñón, one of the most successful young horse trainers in Spain. Ivan has had great success with his students, who have secured numerous regional and national championships in the dressage ring. He is the lead PRE scout for Yvonne, travelling all over Spain to evaluate and test top prospects for her clients.
Born in Asturias, Spain, Llarina is a passionate horsewoman that started riding at four years old. Her family has always been involved with horses, leading her to obtain an Equestrian Sport Instructor degree from the Spanish federation. She has ridden all types of horses, saddle-broke countless young ones, and her natural feel and ability is a great asset to all horses being developed by Yvonne in Spain.
Carlos is originally from Venezuela and is Yvonne’s head groom. He has been at her side at Olympic Games, Pan American Games, World Cup Finals, and countless other events all around the world. He usually travels with the team’s horses, and has unrivaled experience in equine care, fitness, preparation and overall barn management, which he combines with his passion for all the horses under his responsibility.
